The Bee Shop offers various bee related classes, courses, programs, workshops, events and parties.

From learning how to become a bee keeper or an apiarist one of the 7,000 odd beekeepers that helps to ensure our nation’s food supply. We have both adult and youth beekeeping classes and programs. We introduce you to these fascinating insects the honey bees, their homes or hives. Learn things like what criterion beekeepers use to name a honey for example buckwheat honey as opposed to blueberry honey. Or the various processes of honey from comb honey to raw honey to filtered honey to unpasteurized honeys and organic honey etc. As well as practical hands on experience working with the live honeybees in their hives or colonies.

If you want to sweetly celebrate a birthday, we have an event room for celebrating a wonderful honey bee themed birthday. Where among the honey bee related activities you get to make your own beeswax birthday candle to light and place in your your beehive birthday cake.

For learning how to make the sweet-smelling light from beeswax sheets to beeswax tapers, to beeswax mould candles, we have a dedicated beeswax candle making class or workshop once a month, where you learn how to make 3 different types of beeswax candles and keep 4 beautiful ones at the programs end.
